1. Now that you’ve read the entire series, has your favorite character and least favorite character changed from Book 1 to now? Who were they in book 1, book 2, and book 3?

3. What was it about Anise and Nate that made them have their strong connection? What was it about Jonathan and Selina that created their chemistry?

4. Anise’s reason for being mad at Nate was that he kept lying to her. Did he redeem himself?

5. When Nate and Jonathan hang out at the bar, they learn more about each other and find com-passion and common ground. Do you think a friendship between them is possible?

6. Do you think Fred Dromly was a good or bad father to Kent? Why?

7. Did you feel sorry for Grace when she met Thomas again? Why or why not?

8. What did you think of Fred Dromly’s letter to Anise? How was it different than the stories he told?

9. One of the themes in the book was second chances. Anise gave Nate a second chance, Jonathan gave Selina a second chance, and Morty gave Grace a second chance. Should they have? What are some of the other themes in the book?

10. Did Anise do the right thing by not restoring Nate’s memories? Or should she have listened to her intuition instead?

11. Throughout the series, who we see as the villain of the story changes. In the first book, Grace, Dan, and Nate were the villains. In the second book, it was Morty Smithton and Fred Dromly. In Strength of Sight, it was Charlie Masser and for a time, Fred Dromly again. Who was the real villain of the story? Was it a person? Or was it the Plate of Destiny and how it caused uncontrollable obsessions in the people who wanted to find it?

12. How did you feel about the ending for Anise? Was it what you expected? Were you happy for her, or were you hoping she’d have a different ending? If so, how would you have changed it?

13. At the end of the book, it says that Anise stepped onto a pathway lined with petunias. Do you believe this to be literal, or do the pathway and petunias symbolize something more, or both?
